Cliff Hines Band

Cliff Hines is a progressive jazz guitarist and composer from New Orleans, LA. He has performed as far as New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts (Harvard University), Utah, and Oregon. Festivals he has performed at include South by Southwest (Austin, TX) in 2011, Foburg Fest (New Orleans, LA) in 2010 and 2012 and The Orion Music Festival (Park City, Utah) in 2012 under his own name, and he has performed also as a sideman at the Marciac Jazz Festival (Marciac, France) in 2007 and multiple years at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. They were also heavily featured in the upcoming documentary “One Note at a Time” (Renee Edwards, UK) about the New Orleans Musicians Clinic alongside such performers as Charmaine Neville and Donald Harrison. Cliff is also featured on the upcoming single “And Her Too” from Virgin Records artists “Speakers”. Cliff's music was recently featured on the Livemusicnola.com / Offbeat Magazine Compliation vol.1 (other featured artists include Ivan Neville, Stanton Moore, Mike Dillon, Johnny Vidacovich, Marco Benevento, and Morning 40 Federation) and has opened for a diverse group of acts such as Talib Kweli, Jeff Coffin (of Dave Matthews Band), Big Sam's Funky Nation, and Eric Lindell. His first record "Like Mystics of Old" was released in 2009, and his second, "Traveler" (feat. New Orleans legends James Singleton, Grammy-Nominated Percussionist Bill Summers, Kent Jordan, and more) is due in 2012.
