Alex Pena

Alex Peña is a blooming young guitarist, composer, and educator based in New Orleans.  For the past few years, Alex has honed his chops on the bandstand as both a sideman and a leader in various jazz, blues, r&b, rock, folk, and even country/western groups in addition to having received formal musical training(B.A. cum laude) in the prestigious jazz department at the University of New Orleans.  In addition to teaching privately, Alex is also the primary guitar instructor for the Sophie B Wright Charter School guitar program in uptown New Orleans.
