ALBERT/FREILICH/MORROW/GARRISON QUARTET

July 1 at 8:00 PM
The beauty of the dynamic New Orleans music scene lies in the shared experiences of the musicians finding the groove within a very broad range of styles. And this band has this beauty in abundance. Such seminal New Orleans outfits as  George Porter’s Runnin’ Pardners (New Orleans funk,) the Iguanas (Latin and roots rock,) Michael Ray’s Cosmic Krewe (free jazz funk,) the Jackals (rocksteady,) Naked on the Floor and the Naked Orchestra (creative composition,) the Jeff Albert Quartet (creative jazz,) Mas Mamones and Los Vecinos (Latin dance,) and the New Orleans Klezmer All-Stars and Panorama Jazz Band(klezmer/Eastern European) are just a sample of the popular and creative projects that have occupied these musicians over the past twenty years. Tonights show will allow them express all of their experiences and talents in a program of original compositions by Jeff Albert and Jonathan Freilich as well as music of the more standard repertoire.

Expect a “Freedom Mambo Jazz Dance Party!
