AJ Loria, a native of New Orleans took piano lessons for 2 years at age 11 across the river in Algiers, became high school valedictorian, and achieved a B.S. in Mathematics at Tulane University.  Realizing music was his true passion; he followed his heart by dedicating himself to it, resulting in a completely unique style all his own. His musical experiences have been momentous.  Over the course of 3 decades he has performed & recorded with Wynton & Brandford Marsalis, Allen Tousasaint, Bernard Purdie, Comedian Andrew “Dice”Clay and notable contemporaries in Japan to name a few. In the 90’s he began composing the first of 20 original piano scores for a PBS Television series on New Orleans. He has appeared  and performed on Saturday Night Live. HBO, The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and the Montreux Jazz Festival. In 2011 he released the emotionally powerful album “3AM”, his fifth personal.  AJ continues to explore and expand his musical vision in his recent collaboration and recordings with improvisational jazz trio Bodhi3.
